These are things an application does with drivers, not things a driver knows:
ping_sweep.py (PingSweepMixin, driver_supports_ping), mixed into DeviceTypeDriver: looping over addresses, the target cap and progress reporting are a scan. A device with a faster batch (OPNsense) keeps that as a capability of its own; the reply builder stays here (see #12).
base.rules_max_weight: how one application ranks drivers. FingerprintRule, PortSpec and the fingerprint attributes stay.
provisioning.py (QEMU_GUEST_AGENTS, network_config, split_compression) and HypervisorDriver.GUEST_AGENTS: a guest profile. The hypervisor driver is handed the packages and commands instead.
TYPE_LABEL and REBOOT_SETTLE_SECONDS: a display name and a polling delay.
Deprecate here once the application no longer reads them; remove in 5.0.
