_action_fix_snmp (netgear_smart.py ~1873-1912) enters config mode and sends snmp-server community public ro through _send_command, which waits for re.escape(base_prompt)[>#] (~178). The config prompt is (host) (Config)#, so the wait likely runs into read_timeout, raises, and leaves the session in config mode (no try/finally). The other config paths use _apply_config_lines with _any_prompt. Not tried on a device.
